The Joy of Sibling Newborn Portraits: Dexter and Finnley

Capturing a newborn with an older sibling is always a beautiful and memorable challenge, but the results are priceless. Finnley was so gentle and loving with his baby brother, providing us with stunning moments of connection for their Baby Portrait Photography Essex session.

We prioritized shots of the boys together early in the session. We use safety-first techniques, often lying the children on a large, comfortable pillow on the floor with a parent’s arm or two nearby, to ensure the older sibling is relaxed and the newborn is completely secure. These portraits of them holding hands or simply gazing at each other are truly the heart of the album.
